No. The compensation planning process is closely linked to payroll and is often custom to each organization. Payfederate provides planning tools to align the budget for your next review cycle with your compensation strategy, allowing you to run your existing process more effectively.

Benchmarking

No. There are many sources of benchmarking including survey data providers. The best practice is for organizations to select a core data source and add data from specific local or vertically oriented sources. We provide a tool to integrate the data for application to your compensation philosophy.

Most tools from data providers focus on their data, while we start with your internal ranges that you share and must defend with your employees. We integrate your choice of market data to inform your internal ranges and allow you to see how employees and candidates will be affected by changes to your internal ranges.

Matching your jobs to the correct benchmark is a tedious and manual process with only vague job titles as a guide. Payfederate uses a proprietary AI algorithm to match key elements out of your job description with the benchmarking job descriptions to make job matching faster, easier, and more accurate.

Job Management

Yes! It’s key to have a system to manage job descriptions to ensure employees doing similar work are treated fairly. Payfederate offers a job catalog to ensure consistency in job descriptions, and to ensure that specific roles are nested under the correct job. 

Payfederate offers a generative AI tool to create a job description from your template with just a few key word inputs. Our AI engine also provides a recommendation for where a new job fits in your job architecture and proposes a salary range for that role. 

Digital Total Rewards Statements

Everything you believe is part of your rewards package. This includes base pay, variable pay, long term incentives like stock, one-time bonuses, and the value of benefits. We also provide history and a section of FAQ so you can help position rewards when the employee is actively focused on their pay.

 

We can provide links from your employee portal or distribute links via email and make statements available on-demand, or we can make the statements available to employees during windows that you define.

Offer Management

No. Recruiting tools are optimized to find candidates and manage the recruitment process. Payfederate integrates with and supports you ATS by making it easy to create job postings that flow into the ATS, and once you decide to make an offer, we enable creation, communication, and negotiation of the offer.

You can provide a custom link to the candidate or download and print the offer to send a more traditional version.

Implementation

The starting point is your current employee data and any compensation structure you have in place. You can add your current source(s) of market data and information on your candidate pipeline, but those can come later.

We integrate with 3 sources of data – your employee data from your HR system, your candidate data from your recruiting system, and your market data provider. We can either integrate via API or ingest files.

Data security and privacy are our top priority. We run on AWS and use all AWS best practices, including end to end encryption, multi-factor authentication, and extensive policies to ensure data is protected.

Payfederate views AI, especially generative AI and natural language processing, as fundamental to the next wave of productivity. We utilize it to recommend job matches for internal roles to benchmark data, to generate consistent job descriptions, and to generate job postings that fit within the job architecture.

In our system, AI is a co-pilot – assisting the user to get to better answers faster. We utilize every possible method to avoid bias in our AI guidance, but ultimately our goal is to empower people and rely on their judgement and experience rather than an algorithm.

Yes! We’d like all our customers to try the platform with your data before we expect a commitment to a subscription.

Not much. We’ll need just a couple of hours to understand your requirements and gain access to the data required and we’ll do all of the work. 

Our subscriptions for smaller organizations start at just $500 per month for an annual pre-paid subscription and for larger organizations our solution is cost-effective. If the trust you establish in your organization avoids just a single undesired turnover, you will recover the cost of a subscription many times over.
